I’ve had to buy replacement lenses for my sunglasses a few times and it’s always been in the back of my mind to make glasses out of wood that would fit those lenses. Remember back a few years, Steve Carmichael made some wooden sunglasses so I went back to see how he did it. In the process, I found several other videos most of which provided very different ways to go about it. I figured I’d take a crack at it, combining some of the methods that different makers had used in the past.
Check it out! It’s mostly scroll saw and sanding work but a really fun process. Plus, I made these glasses in an afternoon!
