Ever since I started doing projects with a Raspberry Pi, people have asked me to use it to make a media center. That’s just a little computer that you hook up to your TV to watch videos, listen to music, etc. Since those days, this has actually become MUCH easier to do, since people have put together entire media centric operating systems, based around Kodi (and other players as well.) The setup is extremely easy, so I decided to make the system as little cooler by adding some hefty file storage and putting it in a cool little case that you’d be happy to have standing next to your tv.
The local storage isn’t entirely necessary, as you can connected network attached storage, but by having it local the media read speeds are much faster. Check it out!
