As I was about to start packing up everything in my shop, I decided to spend the final afternoon making a quick project off the top of my head. I decided on a combination step stool / tool box and just used supplies that I already had on hand. It was entirely 3/4″ plywood with some basic screws and a couple of hinges. Even while filming it, I was able to do it in under 3 hours and the final result turned out to be extremely sturdy and useful! I used it the very next day to pull down things on high shelves to pack them up, and in the new house as a way to carry tools from project to project (we’re renovating a LOT.)It’s amazing what can be made quickly and easily using scrap materials, if you just find a simple idea and get started!
