A few weeks ago, I posted a video about how Bill Doran, from Punished Props, and team, made a life casting mold of my head.  In that video, Bill quickly made a cast of the mold using some expanding foam. This was really just to check the mold, but the final cast from it wasn’t something that would last very long. Instead, he sent me the mold so that I could make a plaster casting back in my shop.
Using Hydrocal, I poured this cast and worked on it a bit, to get it ready for use. What is it used for, you might ask? My plans are to make some prop/costume helmets soon, and by making templates for them on a life cast, the resulting helmets will be perfectly fit and scaled to my head. Also, I needed something to stick those googly eyes onto.

Check it out!
