there aren’t many people that I look at, and say “that guy really has it made…” but Phillip Torrone is definitely one of the few.
Somehow, this guy (albeit, he’s very crafty, and creative) ends up getting EVER peice of new technology that I wish I could afford, and actually has time to play with them all.. then he goes and integrates them.. creating some really freakin cool mutant devices…
For example,he has a new website specifically for showing how he’s integrating mobile technology into his new Segway human transporter (how he affords a $5000 toy, and how he got it so fast, i have no clue..)
also, he’s working on a set of Persistence of Vision Nike shoes.… i’m not sure why, but it’s a really cool idea regardless…
If I had access to all the stuff that he has access to, my wife probably wouldn’t like me very much and I’d probably never go outside… so I guess it’s a good thing.. either way, thanks for inspiring me to tinker with the technology at hand, Phil.. keep on keeping on…
